Why AI is changing the designer's job

Turn an idea into an interface, a website and a campaign

The designer's job has changed. Brands now expect their designer to create the interface, put it online and keep it alive on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube. AI speeds up every step, but it does not replace the designer's eye: knowing how to choose, check and defend your choices has become the real skill.

  • Explore more, choose better. Generate ten moodboard, identity or layout directions with AI in minutes, then select and refine the one that truly meets the need.
  • Put your own designs online. With code assistants (Claude, Cursor) and AI prototyping tools, go from a Figma mockup to a working website, while understanding and checking the code produced.
  • Keep the brand alive everywhere. Adapt a campaign into posts, stories, Reels, TikTok videos and animated ads for each platform, then measure what works.
  • Stay in control of quality. Accessibility, copyright of AI images, brand consistency: you learn to check what AI produces before you deliver it.

How IIA teaches

Learn by doing, with a live trainer

An intensive, hands-on course: every concept is immediately applied to a real project, with a live trainer and individual feedback on your work.

  • Live virtual classes with your trainer, so you can ask questions in real time.
  • AI in every module: Claude, Firefly, Runway, ElevenLabs, Cursor, used as real working tools.
  • Real or fictional client projects, to build a concrete portfolio from the first weeks.
  • E-learning platform with materials, exercises and replays available at any time.
  • Individual feedback on every piece of work: mockups, websites, visuals and videos.
  • 280-hour work placement in a company, alongside the course, to put it into practice.
Part-time format

A typical week

Three days of online training with a trainer, two days in a company. This rhythm lets you apply what you learn in class on your placement every week.

Detailed programme

6 modules, 406 hours, AI at every step

The modules cover the 3 skill blocks of the qualification: designing the graphic elements of an interface (CCP1), contributing to a digital communication project (CCP2), building and running websites (CCP3).

Module 1

AI-augmented UX/UI design

Before drawing an interface, you need to understand who it is for. You carry out user research, build personas and journeys, then create the visual identity and mockups of a digital product. AI helps you summarise interviews and quickly explore graphic directions; you learn to choose and justify your choices.

Duration 84 hBlock CCP1

What you will learn

  • Carry out user research and summarise interviews with AI
  • Build personas, user journeys, site structures and wireframes
  • Create a visual identity and generative images while respecting copyright
  • Design Figma mockups and a reusable design system
  • Test a prototype with real users and improve it

What you will build

  • A research file: personas, journeys and interview summary
  • A brand guide and moodboard, generated then refined
  • An interactive, tested Figma prototype with its design system
Module 2

Front-end development with AI

A beautiful mockup only has value if it works on every screen. You learn to build your designs in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, working with an AI assistant. You do not simply copy the generated code: you read it, test it and fix it.

Duration 126 hBlock CCP3

AI-assisted code

What you will learn

  • Structure pages in semantic HTML and style them in CSS (Flexbox, Grid)
  • Design responsive, mobile-first interfaces
  • Write JavaScript with an AI assistant, then review and fix the code
  • Create web animations and micro-interactions (CSS, GSAP, Lottie)
  • Apply RGAA and WCAG accessibility rules

What you will build

  • A faithful, responsive build of a Figma mockup
  • A library of reusable animated components
  • An accessibility audit of your pages, with the fixes applied
Module 3

AI-assisted website creation

From a client request to a live website. You write a specification, prototype a site in a few hours with AI tools, then develop it with an AI coding agent. You add forms and a chatbot, test each feature and publish, while staying in control of what the AI has changed.

Duration 70 hBlock CCP3

What you will learn

  • Turn a client need into a clear specification
  • Prototype a website in a few hours with Lovable, v0 or Claude
  • Direct an AI coding agent (Claude Code, Cursor) and understand its changes
  • Create forms and master the basics of PHP
  • Add an AI chatbot to a website, test and go live

What you will build

  • A complete showcase website for a client, published online
  • A working, secure contact form
  • An integrated AI chatbot that answers visitors' questions
Module 4

WordPress, content and search visibility

Many clients want a website they can edit themselves. You create a manageable WordPress site, write and optimise its content with AI, then work on its visibility: on Google, but also in AI search engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI.

Duration 42 hBlocks CCP2, CCP3
WordPressGutenbergClaudeGoogle AnalyticsSearch Console

What you will learn

  • Install and customise WordPress: themes, Gutenberg, plugins
  • Write and optimise content with AI, then review and check it
  • Improve a website's search engine optimisation (SEO)
  • Work on GEO: visibility in AI search engines
  • Track and analyse a website's audience

What you will build

  • A WordPress site delivered to the client with its user guide
  • A content plan and articles optimised for SEO and GEO
  • An audience tracking dashboard
Module 5

Motion design, video and social media

Brands now live on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn. You produce all the content for a campaign: static visuals and ads, stories and animated ads in motion design, Reels, TikTok videos, Shorts and YouTube videos. AI generates video, voice-overs and subtitles; you build the editorial calendar and measure the results.

  • A Reel or TikTok video and a YouTube video with thumbnail
  • A one-month editorial calendar
Module 6
